Making Levy Payments is Simple with Electronic Banking

To make things simple, we also provide a full electronic banking service for levy payments by lot owners. You can pay through the online portal with any major credit card using DEFT, BPAY or over the phone. Alternatively, levy payments can be simply made via Direct Debit through Macquarie Bank or over the counter at any Australia Post office.

Levy Payments Made Easy with DEFT

DEFT Payment Systems bring you more ways to make body corporate levy payments than ever before. You can now pay by mail, in person at any Australia Post outlet, or choose one of the convenient phone payment options. From now on every levy notice you receive will include a DEFT reference number, which gives you access to all of these alternatives. Other ways to make Levy Payments

1. Flexible Direct Debits
With these you authorise Macquarie Bank to deduct payments directly from your chosen bank, building society or credit union account, but only when you call to authorise them.
To use this option, you must complete an application form. Call the DEFT payment support line direct on 1800 672162 to set this up. Once your application has been processed, you’ll be able to transfer funds by calling the DEFT payment service line on 1300 309 300, entering your DEFT reference number and a security code that you choose yourself.
2. Paying with a Credit Card
Some Bodies Corporate and Owners Corporations allow you to pay over the phone using your credit card. To pay this way, all you have to do is call the DEFT payment service line on 1300 309300. If available, this option will be printed on your levy notice.
3. Pay at Any Australia Post Outlet
You probably already pay some of your bills at Australia Post; and now you can pay your levies as well. Present your DEFT levy notice at any Australia Post outlet and pay with cash or a cheque. Australia Post will give you a receipt. Please ensure you check any applicable service fees charged by DEFT to complete this transaction.
4. Pay by Mail
Simply draw a cheque and write your DEFT reference number on the back. Then mail it with the DEFT payment slip to the address indicated on your levy notice.

The current body of SMS are the 4th appointment of Strata Manager for our complex. That is since 2010 when I moved in. After many thousands of our funds negligently mismanaged by previous appointments, earlier incarnation of SMS including, we believe that a current version of SMS has produced a promise of calm waters for us. As explained in recommendations by satisfied investment owners, current team at SMS has paid attention to all valid complaints and have activated an improvement schedule. From experiences so far, our Strata Committee has unfettered access to our Strata Manager and is a deciding factor in pressing for best outcome in determining our affairs. We hope to continue this new understanding between Strata Committee and SMS management; and reinforce Fair Trading Department guidelines.read more

We have 2 investment properties in Coffs Harbour that have been managed by Andrew for the past 5 years. Whilst we have always been happy with Andrew, in recent months, and especially following our dealings with Kara, there has been a dramatic increase in the service levels and offerings from the SMS team. SMS knows the true meaning of customer service. They provide regular flyers about all aspects of strata which are extremely beneficial. We can now do our meetings with online voting and their client portal is a wealth of information!! Congratulations to SMS on their new website too.......it's so easy to find things!
